About Me
Hey! I’m Rei.
I am a graduate student at Northeastern University pursuing a Master of Science in Information Systems (expected Dec 2026). Previously, I studied Computational Media at Toronto Metropolitan University, where I built a foundation in software development, creative technologies, and interactive media.
I am a software engineer and founder interested in building products that are useful, intuitive, and built to scale. I enjoy working across the stack—from frontend interfaces and mobile applications to backend services, databases, infrastructure, and third-party integrations—and I especially enjoy turning an idea into a working product from the ground up.
The Social Home for Gamers.
I founded Neetter, a social network for gamers where you can follow games and people, join communities, share reviews, track what you play, and discover what to play next. I designed, developed, and operate the product end-to-end across web, iOS, backend, database, infrastructure, payments, real-time systems, and the App Store pipeline.
What I bring
I am a builder with experience across the full software development lifecycle. I enjoy learning new technologies quickly, figuring out how different systems fit together, and taking ownership from the initial idea through development, deployment, and iteration.
My strongest experience is with JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, PostgreSQL, and Ruby on Rails, along with modern web and mobile development. I have also worked with React Native, Redis, Socket.io, Firebase, MongoDB, Stripe, cloud infrastructure, and third-party APIs.
Building Neetter has pushed me beyond individual features and into systems-level engineering: designing shared architectures across web and mobile, building real-time functionality, implementing authentication and payments, managing media, and thinking about scalability, reliability, security, and user experience as part of the same system.
I am also interested in AI and intelligent systems, particularly how emerging technologies can be integrated into practical products and experiences.
